Telenor Pakistan becomes the first telco to receive ISO 45001 Certification for Occupational Health & Safety
ISLAMABAD – October 16, 2019: Country’s leading telecom services provider, Telenor Pakistan, has received the ‘ISO 45001’ Certification for its responsible approach towards Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S). The specific requirements for the ‘ISO 45001’ certification are to provide a safe, secure and healthy workplace environment by minimizing work-related injuries, accidents and ill health while also proactively improving OH&S performance in an organization.
Responsible businesses worldwide are adopting policies that are friendly towards their employees as well as the environment. Such precautionary certifications are becoming a vital need as they allow to systematically minimize the probability of accident, illness, injury or fatality caused by workplace hazards.
